Red Leap’s Artistic Director will facilitate a practical 2-hour workshop exploring some devising and physical theatre tools, in line with how Dakota of the White Flats was created. Participants will learn how they played with the interaction of physicality, handheld light, and object manipulation, to build landscape and image.

Meet Your Facilitator
Ella Becroft

Ella Becroft works as a director, actor and producer of both theatre and film. She is the Artistic Director of Red Leap Theatre.
Ella has been a Red Leap company member since 2007. In 2016 she became Red Leap’s Education and Outreach Manager, then Associate Director in 2018, before being named Artistic Director in 2022.
Ella has taught theatre workshops around the world, including in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, China, the Philippines, and Australia. She runs an artist development programme as part of Red Leap, supporting the next generation of theatre makers.
Ella also works as a film and documentary director.
