For those wanting to up their conducting game, join us on World Singing Day for a Choral Conducting workshop with acclaimed choral conductor and arts educator Kate Albury. This workshop for more experienced Choral Conductors will add to your skills and find new ways to inspire your choirs.

Kate Albury
Kate Albury holds a Bachelor of Arts Music and a Bachelor of Music Education from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Queensland.
Kate served as Choral Director and Middle School Event Coordinator at Brisbane Grammar School for over a decade, growing the choral program in both numbers and reputation. In 2010, she toured Europe with the school’s premier Choir, achieving first place in an International Youth Music Festival in Vienna. Driven by her passion for leadership in the creative arts, she then took on the role of Head of the Arts Faculty at St Patrick’s College, Shorncliffe, and later progressed to Head of Culture. She currently holds the newly established position of Head of Co-Curricular – Culture and Enrichment Programs at Brisbane Boys College.
Kate has conducted choirs and workshops for Voices of Birralee, the State Honours Ensemble Program, and the Queensland Conservatorium. Most significantly, she has frequently joined with conductors from around Australia to be part of the Artistic Team of the National Gondwana Choral School. Kate is highly sought after as an adjudicator and workshop presenter, specialising in choral music and engagement in co-curricular programs. Her great passion is encouraging storytelling through dynamic choral performances.
