A violin showcase of electrifying flair.
Presented by Queensland Symphony Orchestra

#Beauty, brilliance, and music that dances
Led by conductor Jessica Gethin and featuring Principal First Violin Johnny van Gend, this concert is a celebration of elegance and remarkable virtuosity.
Waxman’s Carmen Fantasie and Tchaikovsky’s sparkling Valse-Scherzo offer thrilling moments for solo violin, before Glazunov’s Scènes de ballet closes the concert with rhapsodic fervour.
You’ll also hear Australian composer Jessica Wells’ Suite from Butterfly Effect, a World Premiere that’s a fresh and poignant take on the iconic opera, alongside the stately Polonaise from Eugene Onegin.
