Irena Kobald is the Toowoomba-based artist and author behind My Two Blankets.

Born in a small Austrian mountain village, Kobald always dreamed of exploring the wider world. That passion for travel has taken her across the globe, including several years living in the former USSR, where her fascination with languages, cultures, religions and people only grew.

Australia has been her home for more than half her life, yet she feels equally connected to both Australia and Austria.
