Twelve Days of Stillness

Written and performed by David Fenton, this raw, hypnotic solo performance sees one man sits do the simplest, most dangerous thing imaginable: he speaks. Memory by memory. Fragment by fragment. Lesson by lesson that refuses to stay learned.

#What if a life can’t be told—only remembered?

Spanning childhood farms, suburban beaches, queer awakenings, family fracture, love, illness, violence, grief—and the long afterlife of all of it—Twelve Days of Stillness is an unflinching act of re‑remembering. A lifetime collapses and expands in real time. You’ll be asked to close your eyes. To remember your first memory. To feel what your body hasn’t forgotten. Because some lessons take ten, twenty, thirty years to return. And when they do—they arrive uninvited. Part confession. Part reckoning. Part séance.
