#An insider look at one of Australia’s most talked-about independent films

Based on the infamous Toowoomba Prep School case and partly filmed in Toowoomba, Don’t Tell became one of Australia’s most talked-about independent films. The film won the Audience People’s Choice Award at the Newport Film Festival and the Saint-Tropez Film Festival in France, screened at the New Zealand Film Festival, and most recently featured at Cannes.

In this special live conversation, Scott Corfield will explore the journey of bringing an Australian feature film to life—from development and financing through to production, festival success, international recognition, and eventual release on Netflix. The session will also open into broader discussion about the Australian film industry, independent filmmaking, storytelling, festivals, and opportunities for regional creatives.

Perfect for filmmakers, students, creatives, and anyone interested in the arts and screen industry, this promises to be an engaging and inspiring event from two passionate storytellers with deep Toowoomba connections.
