Local Voices Join Star Studded Cast of Your Song

The Matilda Award-winning production, Your Song, is set to dazzle at The Empire on Wednesday 8 July, bringing together a star-studded cast, a talented group of local singers and the unforgettable music of Elton John for a one-night-only celebration

Local Voices Join ~Star Studded Cast of Your Song~

This special performance by The Little Red Company will feature a choir of talented local singers who will join the cast live on stage, creating a unique and powerful musical experience for the community and showcasing sensational local talent.

Your Song celebrates Elton John's iconic catalogue, including Rocket Man, Candle in the Wind, I'm Still Standing, Bennie and the Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Crocodile Rock, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Daniel and title track Your Song.

Real-life stories of love, courage and joy that are intrinsically linked with Elton John's iconic music were shared with creators Adam Brunes and Naomi Price in creating this heartfelt, hilarious and innately human show.

These everyday moments are transformed into powerful theatrical scenes, from a baby brother's naming to a bride roller-skating down the aisle to Tiny Dancer, to a mother's divorce anthem, creating musical stories that are pure magic.

Little Red favourite, Luke Kennedy returns both to the cast of Your Song by popular demand and to The Empire following his highly successful run as Music Supervisor of 2026 musical & JULIET in March.

He reunites with superstar vocalist Irena Lysiuk on stage together for the first time since their star turn in There's Something About Music at Brisbane Festival in 2023.

Making his Little Red debut is Jason Arrow, best known for originating the title role of Alexander Hamilton in Hamilton's Australian and international productions and rounding out the cast is John O'Hara, a versatile performer known for his charisma, range and unforgettable performances including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jesus Christ Superstar and Tina - The Tina Turner Musical.

Co-creator and director Naomi Price said the collaboration with local vocalists will make The Empire's performance truly memorable.

"We are so excited to bring Your Song to Toowoomba and to collaborate with incredibly talented local singers including members of the Toowoomba Choral Society," she said.

"There's something truly special about sharing the stage with local voices and celebrating the power of community through Elton John's music,” Ms Price said.

"This is an opportunity I absolutely love bringing to life, and I know audiences will feel the magic.” she said.

The Empire CEO, Giuliana Bonel said she was thrilled to be working with The Little Red Company, delivering a unique opportunity to both audiences and local performers.

“It’s heartwarming to see Luke Kennedy as well as Damian Sim both returning to The Empire so soon after their roles as Music Supervisor and Band Leader on our production of & JULIET earlier this year, with several singers from that production also taking to the stage as part of the Your Song choir,” Ms Bonel said.

"The Empire is proud to create opportunities for local artists to collaborate with and perform alongside industry professionals, while giving audiences a truly unforgettable musical experience,” Ms Bonel said

“It is partnerships like this that strengthen our region’s creative community and showcase the incredible talent we have here in Toowoomba," Ms Bonel said.
