Built in 1877, the Empire Church Theatre is rich with historic atmosphere and classical charm. Completely versatile, the Church is the perfect space for parties, cabarets, cocktail functions, trade-shows, workshops, lectures, dinners and balls.
With its breathtaking stained glass windows and original organ pipes, the Church Theatre has the hint of 'something different' you are looking for. The Church's flexibility means our dedicated staff are able to transform the room from theatre-style to elegant reception banquet in a matter of hours.
The Empire Church Theatre has the capability to seat 300 in Theatre Style, 150 in Classroom Style and 150 guests at round banquet tables.

In line with the Federal Government’s ban on indoor public gatherings over 100 people the Empire Theatre is now closed.
All performances between now and April 30 will be cancelled or postponed until later in the year.
