Experience the vicarious pleasure of travel as Camerata takes you to England, Greece and Spain via the exquisite Serenade of Berkeley, the folk dances of Skalkottas and sensual music from Rodrigo, in Landscapes.
Apollo’s mythological landscape is evoked, and through Emily Wurramara – a great Australian First Nations singer – we get to the heart of our own Australian landscape.
ERIC AVERY POSTPONED
We are sad to announce the disappointing news that current Covid restrictions prevent Eric Avery, a Ngiyampaa, Yuin, Bandjalang and Gumbangirr artist, from performing with us as special guest artist for our Landscapes concert series(July 28-29). We are however working with Eric to be able to share something very special online with you in the near future. As they say, “watch this space!”
EMILY WURRAMARA JOINS CAMERATA
We are thrilled to announce that Emily Wurramara will step in to sing with Camerata for the first time. Artistic Director, Brendan Joyce met Emily when they collaborated on performances at the 2019 Adelaide Festival, and Brendan particularly remembers a beautiful moment in which Emily sang music written by Queensland born John Rogers called, Hear Me and Remember that will be included in our concerts.
