Empire Youth Arts Drama Workshops (Toowoomba) TERM ONE

It is with a heavy heart that effective immediately and in line with direction from the Australian Government we can no longer meet for the remainder of Term 1 classes face-to-face. We are all responsible for keeping each other safe and our young citizens are an active part of that process. It is important that at this time the connections we have built through training, discovering and creating together are not lost – we are a community no matter the circumstances.

For the final classes of this term – Drama Two and Plus: Wednesday 25/03 and 01/04, Drama Starter and One: Saturday 28/03, and Dalby Drama: Friday 27/03 – we will run an online session during usual class time to check-in and talk about mental health and to work through a series of activities in line with our training for this term.

The specific details for these will be sent to those enrolled currently in classes, but in the mean time please note that you can join a Zoom meeting easily via a web browser (an invitation will be sent to you) or via the Zoom App (available via The Apple App Store or Google Play). These do not require a camera or microphone to view, but will to interact with our facilitators (most modern computers or devices will have these). These sessions will be moderated and any behaviour deemed inappropriate will see that user blocked from that session.  Please refer to https://zoom.us/docs/en-us/covid19.html for further details.

Please be assured that we will continue to monitor government recommendations and as soon as we are able to we shall return to training as usual. Details for Term 2 will be available as we draw closer to the end of April when they are scheduled to begin.

We understand that these are challenging times, and if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 0746989926 or youtharts@empiretheatre.com.au
