For the first time since the opening of the Empire Theatre 20 years ago, a touring play will have the benefit of a specialist Auslan interpreter during the performance.
One of the main dramas of the Empire Theatre’s 2017 Season, Constellations by Queensland Theatre will be translated into Auslan by specialist performance interpreter Leanne Beer, expanding the theatre experience to patrons who use Auslan as their primary mode of communication.
Starring Jessica Tovey (Wonderland, Home and Away) and Empire Theatres Brian Boak Bursary recipient, Lucas Stibbard (Boy Girl Wall), Constellations follows the collision of the lives of a beekeeper and a quantum physicist and explores the infinite possibilities of their time together in series of snapshots that flicker across stage.
Tickets are still available for Constellations here.
