Queensland Ballet returns to Toowoomba this weekend for Tutus on Tour held from 24-25 September at the Armitage Centre – Heritage Bank Auditorium.
The only Queensland Ballet performance of the year, Tutus on Tour promises a charming program of short works and excerpts from their current repertoire.
Inspired by three emotionally riveting stories, the show begins with the thought provoking Ershter Vals, a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit accompanied by music from the Jewish ghettos of World War II.
The performances also include the award winning Three Preludes, which is set to the riveting music of Rachmaninoff, as two dancers fall in love and their relationship intensifies, and last but not least; Verdi Variations, a homage to the elegance and grace of Russian classical ballet.
Outstanding dance works are skilfully weaved into this exceptional program of classical and contemporary works.
Complete with folk dance influences, classical technique and captivating narratives, Tutus on Tour engages audiences with its profoundly poignant stories and expressive dancers.
