Accomplished director Matt Scholten will be providing intensive adult acting masterclasses for the theatrically inclined at the Empire Theatre from August 2 – September 6.
Nationally acclaimed director Matt Scholten, a graduate of the Victorian College of Arts has had a prestigious career as a writer, producer and teacher, with his directorial work being presented by the likes of The Melbourne Theatre Company, La Mama Theatre and Regional Arts Victoria among others.
Recently, Mr Scholten and Independent theatre company IF Theatre have been nominated twice for the Helpmann Award for their production of Mother, written for and starring celebrated Australian actress Noni Hazlehurst.
The masterclass is an amazing opportunity to work with such an accomplished and respected director who will aid any thespian in broadening their skills through various acting process and other integral theatre techniques.
Mr Scholten, who directed Lysistrata for USQ Artworx earlier this year is eager to be giving these insightful masterclasses, with the Empire Theatre thrilled at the prospect of hosting such a high calibre creative.
