The Empire Theatre will open their doors to four- legged furry talents on February 21 at 11am for two roles in the upcoming major production, Legally Blonde The Musical.
Empire Theatres Production Manager, Timothy Panitz said dogs auditioning for the roles of Bruiser and Rufus will be asked to demonstrate the ability to follow commands, cope with large groups of people, loud noises and backstage conditions.
Roles up for grabs include the faithful furry best friend of leading lady Elle Woods, Bruiser the Chihuahua and Rufus, the loveable bulldog.
Alternative and similar-looking breeds will also be considered.
Dog owners, along with their dogs, should meet on the Empire Theatres lawn at 11am for the open audition.
Successful dogs would be required to attend selected rehearsals and all performances.
