Musical Theatre Veteran Graces Empire Stage

One of Australia’s most celebrated entertainers, Peter Cousens will take to the Empire Theatre stage on August 8 for show of musical theatre favourites.

As the only Australian performer to have played The Phantom on London’s West End, Peter Cousen’s long and illustrious career will be celebrated in his newest show, My Musical Life.

Singing the best of Peter Allen and Billy Joel as well as highlights from some of the world’s greatest musicals, Peter will delight the audience with songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Aspects of Love, South Pacific, Miss Saigon, Carousel, Jekyll & Hyde, West Side Story and The Man of la Mancha.

Peter’s unique approach to music and storytelling inspires his audience as he takes them on a funny and often moving journey while enjoying a compelling and captivating performance.

This will be Cousens’ second visit to the Empire Theatre in a year, following his performance at the official opening of the Empire Theatre’s newest venue, the Armitage Centre, in September 2014.
