The Empire Theatres are thrilled to announce an incredibly talented lineup of performers who will take on the legendary music of Queen in the 2022 blockbuster jukebox musical, We Will Rock You.
This highly energetic rock and roll musical featuring hits including Killer Queen, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You will be performed across six shows from Friday March 18- Saturday March 26.
After it’s initial popularity, an extra row of premium seats have been released for each performance of We Will Rock You and are still available to purchase now.
Set in a dystopian future where globalization and consumerism rules all and resistance is growing, We Will Rock You follows young rebels Galileo and Scaramouche as they risk everything to rediscover rock in a world where musical instruments are banned.

Georgia Spark returns to the Empire Theatre stage after her debut as Lauren in Empire Theatre’s Kinky Boots (2019), taking on the incredible role of galactic villain, Killer Queen. A musical theatre Queensland Conservatorium graduate, Spark comes to the Empire Theatre after touring across Queensland with Blue Gum Farm TV.
After performing as Ali in the highly popular 2020 production of Mamma Mia, 18-year-old Kate Hudson- James will join the principle cast as Scaramouche, as well as Justin Tamblyn as Commander Khashoggi, whose scene stealing performances as Bert in the Empire Theatre’s Mary Poppins (2015), Fiyero in Wicked (2017) and the Angel known as Sherbert Bomb in Kinky Boots (2019) have established him as a firm Empire Theatre stage favourite.
Impressive young performer Lauren Baryla, whose previous credits include Jane in the Empire Theatres Mary Poppins (2015) takes the stage as rebel Oz and Jacob Krog (Galileo – Pittsworth Amateur Theatrical Society’s We Will Rock You 2021) takes his place alongside her as fellow rebel Brit. Tristan James (Bill- Empire Theatres 2020 Mamma Mia!) completes the principle cast as bohemian musical librarian Buddy.
An exceptional ensemble cast and highly skilled band made up of talented local performers will also be on stage to bring this show to life.
