The Empire Strikes Back series will continue into August with a performance by Toowoomba country music singer, Mick Lindsay on August 8.
Lindsay comes to the Empire Theatre following the release of his new single, Afterparty, a styled twist which creates a harmony of country and pop delivered with his signature cheeky lyrics and strong vocals.
Lindsay’s rise in country music continues after 2019 saw him release two singles from his as yet unfinished album (Drink About You & If You’re Sleeping) which clocked up over 2 million streams, and played on more than 350 stations across the country.
The Australian independent singer-songwriter spent the year writing and recording in Nashville, performing a three month long national tour, playing 76 shows alongside international artists at events including Magic Millions, Rockin’ Rocky, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Backroad Bash and more.
Lindsay’s next single will be released on August 21st, just days after his Empire Theatre performance.
Lindsay's performance will feature a mix of his original songs and some of his favorite covers including The Horses, Beer Never Broke My Heart, Real World and Meant to Be.
The Empire Strikes Back series celebrates the safe reopening of the theatre to limited audiences following the closure period brought about by government restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19.
