The Empire Theatres present a thought provoking and poignant story exploring the damage bullying can inflict on victims with three performances of I am Jack.
Based on the best-selling book by Susanne Gervay, I am Jack follows the story of Jack, a boy who is smart, funny and is being bullied.
It’s a powerful one-man show, which explores the often overlooked insidious taunting and teasing and the roles that family and schools can play in responding to this.
Jack takes us on a touching and sometimes comical journey as he moves from victim to victor.
With charm and humour I am Jack has succeeded in delighting and informing young audiences across Australia and America.
Actor, David Hynes whose TV credits includes Puberty Blues, Packed to the Rafters and House of Hancock, plays eleven characters, moving with ease between each one for a show which explores how peer pressure can grow rapidly and take over.
From the award winning company that brought you, Pete the Sheep, Milli Jack and the Dancing Cat and Emily Eyefinger, this performance is aimed at a young audience, from ages 8-14.
