The Empire Theatres Homegrown Independent Series presents

Moth by Declan Greene

Sebastian and Claryssa, a suburban stereotype and a wanna-be Wiccan, find solace and strength in each others company.  When they’re together, nothing else seems to matter, everything just feels… right. But things are never that easy. What should be just another night drinking goon under the flood-lights takes an unexpected turn with an unexpected arrival, the ultimate betrayal and an inconceivable vision.

Written by award-winning Australian Playwright Declan Greene, MOTH explores the themes of friendship, bullying, mental health and the mounting pressures of adolescent ordeal in this gripping two-handed drama. Who will be left standing once the dust has settled?

Sebastian – Harry Harms
Claryssa – Rianna Jenkinson

MOTH is the winner of the AWGIE Theatre for young Audiences Award, 2011.

MOTH was originally produced by Malthouse Theatre VIC in 2011.
