The St Ursula's College Drama Department presents the 2018 Senior Play - 600 Ways to Filter A Sunset - by Daniel Evans. Imagine a world where you have the ability to crop, edit and filter yourself to perfection.
"We'll all look the same. We'll all sound the same... 'Cause that's the only way we can ever really have peace."
Imagine a world where this is possible, where you have the option to change your looks, personality, age; Where with a prick of a finger you can find out your date of death; And even have the ability to bring back a loved one. Would you do it? And at what cost?
Daniel Evans's 600 Ways to Filter a Sunset explores the possibilities of our Utopian - or Dystopian - future, where the ability to crop, edit and filter ourselves to perfection and then repeat this process is vital. Through a mixture of comedy and tragedy this play questions our sense of identity and the controversy surrounding the manipulation of DNA.
